THE FLORENCE LI ENDOWMENT FUND
About
After 18 years of faithful service as the National Coordinator of Asian Ministries at American Baptist Home Mission Societies, Rev. Florence Li is retiring from her position. She has developed pastors and lay leaders from all backgrounds and languages, cultivating leadership and constantly providing ministry training and conferences. She has given great support and voice to Asian women in ministry. She tenaciously worked with the Burma Diaspora churches and communities to establish their ministries. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to the Burma Refugee Commission directed by the Office of the General Secretary, advocating for the freedom and human rights of the people in Myanmar. Rev. Florence Li also serves on different boards, including her role as Chair for Innovative Space for Asian American Christianity (ISAAC) based in Los Angeles that bridges academy, church, and community. Rev. Florence Li is a leader, a mentor, a committed colleague, and true a partner in ministry.
In honor of her work, the Alliance of Asian American Baptist Churches, in partnership with the Innovative Space for Asian American Christians (ISAAC), we are proud to announce the Florence Li Endowment Fund for Asian Women Leadership and Ministry, both in American Baptist contexts and in ISAAC ecumenical spaces.
